PYO Apples

This weekend marks the start of the apple picking season. The two places I'm most familiar with - Masker and Indian Ladder Farms open this Labor Day weekend. Most people will tell you it's still too early, but it would be a nice destination for a family outing. And look outside! It's beautiful.

If you can't make it this weekend, not to worry- you have until the end of October. Knowing me, I will probably venture out at least twice to get my apple fill.

If you're curious to see what's ripe, I know at Masker's the Reds and the Macs should be ready for picking. As for Indian Ladder, maybe the Jonamacs... not too sure.
