Hello Albany!

I had it in my head that I was going to grab lunch from the hot bar in the Asian Supermarket. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything I really wanted to get, so I picked up a couple of things to snack on before we headed back to Troy. I am happy to report that they were selling not only roasted duck, but chicken and a whole pig! SQUEEEEE!!! The pig's tractor beam reeled me in when I noticed it was without a head. Not to fear, it was right below, but butterflied and kinda eerie. M tried to sneak away, but I kept him there as I oohed and aahed over what surely was a tasty tasty thing.

Underneath the hanging meats were containers of cooked animal parts. I can't remember what exactly I saw, but I know there were pig ears. I'm sure I muttered something about ears and sisig, and at this point was when M pulled me away. That little corner of the hot bar really gets me in a trance.

Anyways, here's some video.

Steamed Pork Bun. I couldn't resist, it was just calling out to me.

This was something new. I've had these before, but not from the AS. I was hoping they sold the rice rolls that have the tiny dried shrimp and scallions pressed into it, but sadly no. I will just have to buy them cold or make my way into Chinatown. Come on, AS... stock it in the hot bar! And if not, at least tell me what you put in the sauce. The one that came with the shrimp roll was definitely sweeter than the what I get from the street vendor. I think I may have to man up and just ask someone to translate for me so I can get the sauce secret.
