Looks are indeed deceiving. Let me tell you why:
- No banana ketchup. I improvised with regular ketchup and sugar. I got it to the sweetness you’d expect, but it just wasn’t the same.
- Too much sauce. For the amount of pasta I cooked, I just made too much.
- The addition of sliced hot dogs just didn’t work with this. But it could be the brand I bought (I forget what it was, but it was on sale).
- Not enough cheese. And it didn’t come from a can… which I always associate with filipino spaghetti.
- New fangled Barilla wheat pasta does not work. Not in this dish anyways.
So there was a whole lot of wrong going on here… and it was somewhat edible. I’m embarrassed that I messed it up this much. I have to ask my aunt how she does it.
