Clinical ended early today and I was able to convince one of my classmates to go with me to The Vietnam for lunch. I haven't been there in months (that's what it felt like, the actual time I'm not sure) and I have been craving Bahn mi.
11ish seems to be the start of their lunch crowd, because not long after I sat down, two other parties came in and a handful of people stopped by to pick up their orders. Along with my Bahn mi, I also ordered pho with medium rare beef, tendons, tripe, and flank. My classmate went with a spicy beef soup. Their Vietnamese names escape me at the moment, but they looked/smelled/tasted fantastic. All the senses were appeased, trust me.
I think I'll heat up the leftovers and take a crack at some studying. It's wing night at OD's and it looks like I'll be going. I've been eating out quite a bit the last few weeks, which is nice... but kinda sucks since I'm cash strapped. But the food is sooooooo good.
Lunch for two, plus drinks came out to $30.00 (tax and tip included).
