No egg? For me it's not quite fried rice without an egg to bring the individual components together into some kind of whole.
I'm not an egg fan, so I tend to cook without it. Also, I've noticed when it comes to Filipino style fried rice, they don't really use egg, they just fry the eggs up separately.
