Klutzes Need Not Apply

This is what happens when you rush. With the change in weather my desire to cook has gone up and well… I got a little too into it. I pulled the containing holding the parboil rice out of the cupboard and onto the counter. I picked it up again and instead of grabbing it from the base, I lifted from the lid.

It worked, for about a second. Then the cover gave, hit the counter before falling to the floor. I tried my best to catch it in mid-air, but no use. Rice on the floor, my poor neighbors subjected to my minutes long cursing session about lids and poor container construction in general.

I wonder if it’s bad luck to spill rice?
